Brick house surrounded by mature shrubs and greenery

Youngsville sits about ten minutes up US-1 from us, and it’s one of the easiest drives we make. Capstone Landscapes is based in Rolesville, so Youngsville is genuinely local work rather than a market we advertise into from an hour away.

Rick Linder has been in the landscaping business more than 25 years. Call or text (919) 671-7296 for a free estimate.

What we do in Youngsville

Bigger lots, different problems

Youngsville is in Franklin County, and crossing that county line changes the work more than you’d expect. Lots here tend to run larger than the equivalent subdivision in Wake Forest, and there’s more property that was farmland or woods until recently.

On an acre or more, maintenance is a different job. Mowing takes real equipment and real time. Fertilizing an acre of turf costs meaningfully more than a quarter-acre lot, so it’s worth being deliberate about which parts of the property get the full program and which parts just get cut.

The soil is the same red Piedmont clay we deal with everywhere in this area, and the new construction has the same problem it has in Rolesville: builders strip the topsoil, compact what’s left, and lay grass over it. If your lawn came with the house and it’s struggling, that’s usually why, and it’s fixable.

Open lots with less tree cover also mean more sun, which widens your options. Fescue works, but bermuda and zoysia are genuinely on the table for a full-sun Youngsville yard in a way they aren’t under Wake Forest’s oaks.
